Each weekend in the month of February we played some fantastic tournaments. 

Kirsty and Guy joined us from London on the first leg of their world tour and spent two months with us, you can see in January where we spent time at Carlos de la Sernas Estancia in El Dorado about 40 mins drive from Mar del Plata Polo Club, and thank you to the guys there. Pancho who is based in Cheshire was great fun, and thank you to Claudio as well for his help and support. Also Ignacios three great boys who beat us all playing handmallets and they were only four, five and six years old!

Kirsty and Guy both entered six tournaments in the two months they were with us and had a quite a bit if silver to take home with them when they left. I will add lots of photos as I get them all sorted out, of all the guys at the club who played with them.

Guy thought it was great to send back photos to his friends in the midlands with his Argentine shirt he played in, in his first tournament!!

The last tournament in February has been played in Mar del Plata since 1928 and was presented by Carlos de la Serna, who won The Open in Palermo. The cup was started by his grandfather. We were very proud as the team who won this year were Juanito and Alehandro with David and Kirtsy two of our visitors from England.

On the 15th February (on my mothers birthday) we were so proud to have delivered from one of our Santa Marina mares a beautiful filly we have named Esperanza (hope). Her grandfather is a very famous flat racehorse called Amad and she is already showing her great turn of speed.
