Choose your own Adventure…a Polo Weekend in Royal Berkshire.

Live for the weekend….you’ve got the rest of the week to recover….

Have a story to tell on Monday morning, make the most of your weekend freedom and experience the adrenaline rush, pain, team spirit, sheer exhaustion and power from playing polo.

Impress their pants off….the galloping of hooves, the thud of mallet meeting ball, as it sails over your head, watch as it comes down in front of you and tap it into the goal. All your team mates shouting!

No, you’re not dreaming…you’re playing polo!

Even the famous Argentinian polo players would be jealous of this weekend.

What happens on a Polo Weekend?

Friday evening

After your evening arrival, you’ll enjoy a lovely evening meal in the local pub opposite the polo club, discussing with your Argentinian coach the plan for the weekend.

Saturday

After breakfast at 9am, you’ll wander across the road to the Polo Club and participate in watching how your Argentinian groom puts all the equipment onto your polo pony, it helps if you can speak a few words of Spanish at this stage, or a phrase book as well will come in very handy! Jose passes you your pony and soon you are cantering around on your polo pony, hitting the ball, the morning continues with lots of advice on riding and hitting the ball with your stick!

After lunch we see how the professionals do it in a match and after the match you get a chance to talk to them in the bar, or around the fire of the Argentinian barbeque, with a few glasses of wine, bed is calling as it is an early start the next day.

Sunday

After breakfast at 9am, you’ll wander across the road to the Polo Club and participate in watching how your Argentinian groom puts all the equipment onto your polo pony,  after day one you should now be able to help him and hold a simple conversation with him in Spanish.

 This mornings lessons culminate in your first competitive chukkas and mini tournament.

Lunch then the opportunity to watch a professional Polo matches and a de-briefing on what you have achieved over the weekend and say goodbye to your Argentine groom, as he leaps onto his pony with ease and gallops of into the distance, until next time!

Equipment needed to WIN!!

Jeans and dealer boots will do fine, all other equipment provided.

Complete beginners to riding are very welcome.
